Spike and short ball

First variant (left-hand side of the diagram):
A spikes the ball to B or C. This players digs the ball back to A, after which A plays a short ball in the direction of the other player. The other player moves towards A, plays the ball back to A, and moves back to his starting position.

Spiking on 2 and 3

A plays the ball to setter S and moves behind D or M. S sets to position 2 or 3. M or D spikes, depending on the set. Whoever spikes fetches the ball afterwards and moves to the line of spare players on the other side of the net.

A overhead passes the ball to setter S. S sets to position 4. A spikes, collects the ball, and joins the line of spare players at the other side of the net.

Warm up with two or three players

A and B play the ball back and forth in a number of different ways, possibly with an extra player.

Assignment: Set to the spiker who is opposite to the shortest blocker.
SD serves and moves into the court to defend. B1, B2, and B3 stand behind each other and choose position when SD serves. The shortest blocker always takes a different position. PH1 and PH2 pass and spike on the outsides. S penetrates and sets.
